As usual my Thursday spot on Casting the net is complete and it's time to share, share, share. I'm busy with work currently but I aim to put a couple of posts on over the next couple of days regarding Boris Johnson and his half a £million "transition team", as well as some more comments on the latest issues of the day!

Can I just say... HALLELUJAH! If there is a god then they have obviously heard our collective prayers because today's PMQs was far beyond head and shoulders above the rest of the recent events

The reason for this seems to be partly down to a slight reduction in the heckling, but in reality I believe it to be because of as much as half the amount of planted Labour questions, real issues being discussed, and perhaps through a lack of pressure a Prime Minister that actually answered questions better without the constant need to attack "the party opposite"

The latest Politalks is here, remember that episode 7 and 8 will also be posted on a Tuesday due to other commitments. This week we've seen childish politics reach new highs and more than just a little bit of borrowing from others to try and get ahead in the polls. Also, more weighty content with a scathing analysis of the ever ongoing Israeli-Palestine conflict.Not work safe with transcript below.

Over at Liberal Conspiracy this week, Jess McCabe has written an excellent piece on prostitution and the necessity to change perceptions around the world towards women. Unfortunately, while everyone could agree wholeheartedly on the issue of women's rights and the need to combat sex trafficking, the well used comments section ultimately divided people on the necessary measures needed to affect change most.

There will always be unethical businessmen and women that try to make their money with illegal sex trafficking, and one has to reluctantly accept the inevitability of some level of this happening. However with a system similar to that which I propose, giving legitimate workers no excuse to not be legal, and the current systems blurring the lines between abused and non-abused workers, I know which I would prefer when it comes to making it easy for law enforcement agencies to crack down own the despicable dark side of prostitution.

Listening to today's PMQ's was much more like those that we have watched through November and October, with Gordon Brown appearing to have very limited skills for getting through the proceedings and both opposition leaders getting the better of him (at least in this posters eyes).

A rather drab PMQ's saw little of national interest, and what little there was of national interest was ducked and avoided by the Labour leader. Issues about Kosovo, the danger for women in Iraq and the inequality of standards applied to police split by the English-Scottish border were all sidestepped largely, and the only question really adequately answered was that of security for those that lost out in their pension schemes.

Now the reason I was drawn to write this post is that Gordon Browns response to a claim from Vince Cable that 40 women have been executed in Basra for "personal immorality", and who exactly have we delivered these powers to, was that there had been a 90% fall in violence recently.
