So, I've been working on this new site layout and so haven't been posting. Thank god then for Gordon Brown and his ability to provide us with such easy blogging material! In particular his call to Labour MPs to "build the Britain of our dreams"
Dreams? Who exactly is he kidding? Who aside from the most sado-masochistic in our society would describe what Labour is attempting to do with this country as anything other than a nightmare?
Imagine if together we build a Britain where what counts is not how high up you start, but how high you can reach.A Britain where every parent of every child born today can watch them as they sleep and dare to believe that nothing is beyond them realising their potential.
I think Brown misunderstands why parents watch their kids as they sleep. With parents feeling kids are facing all kinds of barriers and issues with life, and with Britain harbouring one of the highest percentages for unhappy children in Europe, perhaps Brown should have made it more clear that his speech is truly an aspiration...since currently it has no grounding in reality.

So what the hell is going on, Labour are slumping in the polls and yet those most naturally in their shadow able to take their place (the Lib Dems) are failing to capitalise in the polls. And even though the Tories are enjoying high times so much they must think it's the 80's all over again (in more ways than one) they have failed to deliver one serious or credible attack against the government that would show them to be the true heir's to the throne.
