To the "hard working" yet easily frustrated representative of my constituency,

I would, in turn, like to thank you for representing your constituency in parliament, but have yet to see the evidence. Apparently my taxes go towards paying for you to groan and shout in the house of commons, to feed the prime minister an easy question to boost his performance at PMQ's or playing the partisan blame game. When you debate it is not to get to the best solution but to deride it for not being your party's solution, and when you vote it's because of what a handful of politicians think rather than what thousands of your constituents think.

When I write to you you don't answer my questions, I'm clearly just another number and not a real person with a real concern, and you don't afford me the respect to truly listen to what I'm saying anyway...but then I guess you're too busy wondering how much higher than the rest of the public sector your wage increase and "expenses" should be. I would tell you this to your face but I haven't seen you in person once in my life, and you make no efforts to change that situation either.

Tell me, why do you think binge drinking is a problem when you won't tackle supermarket's nor the length of our working week? Why do you think we cycle on footpaths when you do nothing to increase the competency of drivers, only to increase the stigma against younger ones? With police replaced by cameras, hospitals dirtier, and the NHS no longer being about preventing me from getting ill in the first place why do you get confused at my concern over just what my taxes are used for...other than to prop up a private company for the next half a decade?

Why do you deride the double standards that we follow from your creation, how are we the people meant to know better when you yourselves, whom we should look up to for good political judgement, can't make your mind up as to whether the environment or cushy first class flying is a higher priority, if making a statement about "Britain for the British" is more important or not than a thriving economy. If we are confused about our stance and direction it is only because we are being sold all possible answers by the establishment at the same time.

What we want is not a politician that says what they think that we want to hear, but what is the honest truth of the situation. Truth free of spin and partisan name calling, free of pandering to the Sun and the Daily Mail, and an honest account of what you're going to do to sort it all out.

Unfortunately with all of your pantomime theatrics, lack of respect for our concerns, and inability to truly work for the people of this country instead of the papers it is with great sadness that I say the point of bothering to vote and engage any longer is a waste of what short free time we have left afforded to us.
